The coronavirus has had a devastating, global impact on the tourism and hospitality industries. But as restrictions are lifted in our Beloved Virginia and across the nation, research indicates travelers are gearing up for road trips – seeking safe, close-to-home destinations that allow for social distancing and access to open spaces like beach trips, outdoor recreation and rural experiences.
Thus, the Virginia Tourism Corporation has created a new integrated campaign, WanderLove, that will leverage Virginia’s many road trip adventures to inspire travel throughout the state this summer and fall. These road trips will also highlight outdoor recreation, hidden gems, small towns and Virginia’s unique “roadside attraction” – LOVEworks. Look for PPP’s LOVEworks sign to appear on the map as soon as we open for the season! Because ours is not a permanent fixture, it will be added and remain on the map throughout our season. Until then, check out how many are already statewide here: Virginia LOVEworks
At PPP, we look so forward to continuing our LOVE sign tradition for you and your family. So much so, our 2020 corn maze theme reflects that perpetual theme at PPP. As we continue to struggle through 2020, let’s draw strength together with the ones we LOVE - SPREAD LOVE NOT GERMS!
Wanderlust is defined as a strong desire to travel, but here in Virginia, we call that feeling WanderLove.
